At 20:00 on April 28, an opening ceremony evening with hills as curtain and water as platform officially appeared in the Shuba Theatre of Beijing Expo Park in 2019. The opening ceremony took 40 minutes of stage performances and nearly 3 minutes of fireworks performances, presenting a fantastic feast of garden lighting and shadow performances.

 

According to Sha Xiaolan, the director of the opening ceremony party, the theme of the party is "Green Life and Beautiful Home", and the biggest feature of the stage design is "borrowing scenery to create scenery"

 

On the stage of the main performance area, there are two lifting platforms with full-coverage imaging LED screen, 29 lifting LED video columns with a diameter of 1 meter and a circular screen with a diameter of 8 meters. "The screen can be lowered or stood up. Dancers can interact with the screen in the air." In the vision area, the main team has set up a high-definition laser projection equipment group to project laser images for an arch fountain with a span of 90 meters. On Qingyang Island, the main creative team also set up a small stage, with the forest as the background, the ground decorated with green materials, fully integrated into nature.

 

Gardens and trees are the green main body of the Expo. In order to highlight this meaning, the trees around the core stage area are wrapped with customized LED dot lights. A total of nearly 100,000 meters of LED dot lights are used, embellishing a picture of "spark tree and honeysuckle" with color change.

 

In addition, in stage design, translucent mesh screen is first used, which is the largest screen in China. Ninety screens form a 140-meter wide translucent LED screen matrix of more than 2,000 square meters in the air. During the day, there is only a single color, but at night, the audience can see not only colorful images on the screen, but also distant landscapes and plants through the screen, forming a superimposed effect.
